چکیده

In 1960 Ore proved the following theorem: Let G be a graph of order n. If d(u)+d(v )≥n for every pair of nonadjacent vertices u and v , then G is hamiltonian. Since then for several other graph properties similar sufficient degree conditions have been obtained, so-called “Ore-type degree conditions”. In [R. J. Faudree, R. H. Schelp, A. Saito, and I. Schiermeyer, Discrete Math 307 (2007), 873–877], Faudree et al. strengthened Ore’s theorem as follows: They determined the maximum number of pairs of nonadjacent vertices that can have degree sum less than n (i.e. violate Ore’s condition) but still imply that the graph is hamiltonian. In this article we prove that for some other graph properties the corresponding Ore-type Journal of Graph Theory 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Characterization of signed paths and cycles admitting minus dominating function

If G = (V, E, σ) is a finite signed graph, a function f : V → {−1, 0, 1} is a minusdominating function (MDF) of G if f(u) +summation over all vertices v∈N(u) of σ(uv)f(v) ≥ 1 for all u ∈ V . In this paper we characterize signed paths and cycles admitting an MDF.

Distance closures on complex networks

To expand the toolbox available to network science, we study the isomorphism between distance and Fuzzy (proximity or strength) graphs. Distinct transitive closures in Fuzzy graphs lead to closures of their isomorphic distance graphs with widely different structural properties. For instance, the All Pairs Shortest Paths (APSP) problem, based on the Dijkstra algorithm, is equivalent to a metric ...

On the outer independent 2-rainbow domination number of Cartesian products of paths and cycles

‎Let G be a graph‎. ‎A 2-rainbow dominating function (or‎ 2-RDF) of G is a function f from V(G)‎ ‎to the set of all subsets of the set {1,2}‎ ‎such that for a vertex v ∈ V (G) with f(v) = ∅, ‎the‎‎condition $bigcup_{uin N_{G}(v)}f(u)={1,2}$ is fulfilled‎, wher NG(v)  is the open neighborhood‎‎of v‎. ‎The weight of 2-RDF f of G is the value‎‎$omega (f):=sum _{vin V(G)}|f(v)|$‎. ‎The 2-rainbow‎‎d...

Paths, Trees and Cycles in Tournaments

We survey results on paths, trees and cycles in tournaments. The main subjects are hamiltonian paths and cycles, vertex and arc disjoint paths with prescribed endvertices, arc-pancyclicity, oriented paths, trees and cycles in tournaments. Several unsolved problems are included.

Alternating cycles and paths in edge-coloured multigraphs: A survey

A path or cycle in an edge-coloured multigraph is called alternating if its successive edges differ in colour. We survey results of both theoretical and algorithmic character concerning alternating cycles and paths in edge-coloured multigraphs. We also show useful connections between the theory of paths and cycles in bipartite digraphs and the theory of alternating paths and cycles in edge-colo...

The All-Paths and Cycles Graph Kernel

With the recent rise in the amount of structured data available, there has been considerable interest in methods for machine learning with graphs. Many of these approaches have been kernel methods, which focus on measuring the similarity between graphs. These generally involving measuring the similarity of structural elements such as walks or paths. Borgwardt and Kriegel [1] proposed the all-pa...
